Student Progress

Provincial testing is one way we assess our students. Each year The EQAO conducts a provincial review of Reading, Writing, and Mathematics for all students in grades 3 and 6.

The purpose of the assessment was to provide information on student achievement to parents, schools, boards and the province. Students are assigned a score between level I (the lowest) and level 4 (the highest). Students performing at level 3 meet provincial standards. Those standards are high standards of achievement. Students at level 2 are said to be approaching the provincial standard and students at level 4, exceed the standard. Provincial data is provided for comparative purposes. Detailed information about this assessment is available at the school.
