Principal's Welcome
It is my pleasure to welcome all new and returning St. Gregory families to the 2022-2023 academic year.
We are excited to welcome our students back to school. The landscape has changed recently but our mission and values remain the same. We look forward to continuing to offer a variety of learning experiences for all students. Throughout the year we will strive to maintain a safe and healthy learning and working environment for our students and staff.
The staff at St. Gregory are an experienced and dedicated team. Our commitment to provide a high-quality Catholic education for your child is visible through our unique programming. Our Early Learning Kindergarten Program is rooted in play-based and inquiry learning to benefit our youngest learners. We offer extended French-as-a-Second Language instruction from Kindergarten to Grade 8. Our school maintains a safe and welcoming environment with ample outdoor space that is reflective of Powassan and the surrounding area’s vast agricultural heritage.
All of our efforts demonstrate a commitment to the well-being of our students. Rooted in traditional gospel values, we seek to provide a total education – spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional and social – in which the true worth of each person is recognized and promoted.
Catholic education is best served through partnership between home, school and parish. As such, I welcome all parents and guardians to consider how you can actively participate in your child’s education and our school community.
I look forward to working with our staff, students, families and community partners to ensure it is another great year to be a Tiger!
Yours in education,
Emmanuel Rick
